Red Sox Neighborhood Meeting – Tuesday, June 4
We would like to invite you to a Neighborhood Meeting at Fenway Park on Tuesday, June 4 at the Champions Club.  Please enter the Champions Club via the door located on Ipswich Street near Gate B. We will have security located outside checking in attendees.

As with our previous meetings over the years, we will provide updates on our events and operations, and offer you the chance to ask questions and provide any feedback and suggestions that you have. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m, with the meeting running from 6:30 p.m – 7:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to all, and food and beverages will be served.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Claire at cdurant@redsox.com.

DCR Traffic Advisory: Fenway, Boylston Street, and Park Drive
WHAT:          Starting Saturday, June 1, 2019, and continuing through Thursday, June 20, 2019, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close Fenway from Boylston Street to Forsyth Way and from Brookline Avenue to Louis Prang Street, Park Drive from Brookline Avenue to Kilmarnock Street, and Boylston Street from Ipswich Street West to Ipswich Street East in the City of Boston from 7:00PM to 5:00AM to accommodate milling, paving, roadway improvement work, and the placement of temporary lane markings. On street parking will be prohibited during work hours. Traffic patterns will be clearly marked, and a police detail will be on site.
                       Additionally, in July 2019, the agency will conduct permanent lane marking work, which will include new crosswalks and bicycle lanes along Fenway from Brookline Avenue to Louis Prang Street and Park Drive from Brookline Avenue to Kilmarnock Street.

1. FCA/Northeastern Annual Flower Share, Saturday, May 18th, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., St. Ann’s Church 
Since 1975, Northeastern University has partnered with Fenway Civic to provide free plants and flowers to members each spring.
Saturday’s flower share will be held at the St. Ann’s Church/Fenway Center parking lot located at 77 St. Stephen Street (corner of Gainsborough Street). We look forward to seeing you there!
 
2. Neighborhood Improvement Committee Meeting, Monday, May 20th, 6:00 p.m., 100 Norway Street
The Neighborhood Improvement Committee (NIC) is facilitated by Berklee College of Music and Fenway residents, and works to improve the neighborhood, focused on areas of shared concern including safety and the public realm. Please join the NIC for this public meeting and bring your ideas!
 
3. District 8 Community Conversation, Tuesday, May 21st, 6:00 p.m., 160 Massachusetts Avenue
A moderated forum with candidates for District 8 City Council will take place May 21st, moderated by Margaret McKenna, President Emerita, Lesley University. Come hear from candidates and bring your questions.

4. Fenway Porchfest Musician and Volunteer sign-up: Ongoing
With over 80 acts and counting, Fenway Porchfest is still accepting applications from musicians through May 27th.
Local musicians are prioritized, so apply today at www.fenwayporchfest.org !

2. Commonwealth Seminar 15th Anniversary Celebration, May 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m ., Suffolk University, 120 Tremont Street
Ever wonder how government really works? Want to know how bills get made? Visit behind the scenes of our State House? The Commonwealth Seminar is a program that firmly believes government should be open to all, hosting trainings multiple times per year on everything you need to know to get your issues heard. Join local politicians, citizens and friends on May 2nd to learn more about the Commonwealth Seminar’s work, hear from the founders, and celebrate its anniversary! 3. Fenway Civic Association Annual Bird Walk, May 4th, 7:30 a.m. (meet by the Peace Bell near the footbridge by Kelleher Rose Garden)
Join us for our annual excursion through the Back Bay Fens to witness the spring migration! Naturalist Stephen Baird will host this walk, open to all levels. We will bring checklists – bring binoculars and a friend!

5. Mayor’s Coffee Hour, May 14, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Symphony Park, 39 Edgerly Road
Join neighbors and friends to meet Mayor Walsh and City of Boston staff – Mayor Walsh looks forward to hearing how the City of Boston can improve upon local parks, public areas, and City services. There will be a suggestion box set up at each site. Free coffee and breakfast treats will be provided by Dunkin’, as well as fresh fruit from Star Market. Each family will receive a flowering plant grown in the City’s greenhouses as a gift from Mayor Walsh. Also, there will be a raffle with prizes from Dunkin’.
