Symphony Park

Park History
FCA has worked since 2007 with City and State officials, Parks Department and volunteer caretakers to improve conditions at Symphony Park, which serves as the primary open space for the seniors at Morville House in the East Fenway. Its work helped to coordinate community inspired visions for a renewed park, raise funding for improvements, site, engineering, and construction documents, advocate for capital funding for park construction, and fundraise for a musically inspired piece of public art. FCA continues as an active member of the friends to promote and facilitate programs, from healthy movement classes to musical events. For past work at the park, see below:

Musically inspired sculpture at Symphony Park Unveiled!

Jacob Kulin‘s musically-themed artwork for Symphony Park has been installed! The artwork, a soaring 16 foot sculpture made of granite, Corten steel, cast bronze, and stainless steel, marks the completion of an 8 year, community-driven park transformation, tied to its musical surroundings.

Walsh, Chief of Arts Julie Burros, and Fenway Alliance Executive Director Kelly Brilliant, and featured musical performances by classical musicians and  Berklee College of Music. Sponsors for the unveiling included  the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Friends of Symphony Park.
