Dear Members and Friends:

We hope you’ve been enjoying all the World Cup action – there’s plenty more! Find out here: World Cup in Boston! June 13-July 9th Boston is hosting seven 2026 FIFA World Cup matches (five group-stage games, a Round of 32, and a quarterfinal) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The tournament will run from June 13 to July 9, alongside the FIFA Fan Festival at Boston City Hall Plaza.

Locally, Fenway Park starts it’s summer concert series on Monday:

Fenway Park Concert Dates; June 22, 23 July 7,8,10,11, 30, 31 August 1, 2, 14, 15. 

This Sunday marks the official start of Summer, In the Northern Hemisphere, summer begins June 21, 2026, at exactly 4:24 a.m. EDT. This astronomical date marks the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.

2026 Boston Parks and Recreation Summer Program Guide Now Available

Download the Boston Summer Guide 

Summer Guide features free activities throughout Boston’s parks, including concerts, movies, fitness classes, sports centers, watercolor painting workshops, and fun children’s activities. Put some fun on your schedule!

We’ll soon be announcing the summer concert series for a few locations in both East and West Fens… and get yourself started with Porchfest this Saturday!

Monday, June 22, 3-6 pm, Art Experience at New Edgerly Plaza (see flyer!)

We’re looking forward to some fun on the plaza – join in, paint, dance, make a bracelet, have a cookie, while enjoying live music performance by Katz Katz and Violin Viv – it’s all good in the ‘hood and better when you’re there! Part of the Edgerly Plaza activation series sponsored by FCA and City of Boston Streets department.

UPCOMING 

Ramler Park Concerts

Wednesday, July 15 | 6:30 p.m. Rain Date: July 29 Ramler Park, Fenway JGJ All Stars (SAVE THE DATE more info to come!) The sound of jazz will fill the Fenway area at Swingin’ in the Fens, the annual free concert presented by Berklee in partnership with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s ParkARTS. The concert takes place at Ramler Park, a jewel of the Fenway neighborhood located at 130 Peterborough Street. Picnics and folding chairs are encouraged, and the event is wheelchair-accessible. America’s 250th Anniversary Party, July 4th

Tuesday, July 7, noon-5pm, Tanabata Festival at Symphony Park, 39 Edgerly Road 

An afternoon of Japanese Culture presented by Kaj Aso Studio, with poetry readings, flower arranging, tea ceremony, music and calligraphy demonstration. (See flyer! )

Thursdays, 10 a.m., Free Chair Yoga with Michelle, Symphony Park, 39 Edgerly Road.
