The week ahead

Dear Members and Friends:

A busy week to start off August – please see the following events and opportunities.

1. 165 Park Drive – Impact Advisory Group nominations and Letter of Intent

Transom Real Estate LLC and Harbor Run Development have submitted a letter of intent to develop two 7-story buildings containing approximately 111 residential units. 

The BPDA is soliciting nominations for the Impact Advisory Group to review this project. If you are interested in serving, please contact project manager Quinn Valchich at quinn.w.valcich@boston.gov or any of your elected representatives.

2. Monday, August 1, 6 p.m. – Virtual public meeting for 1400 Boylston Street

A virtual public meeting will be held by the BPDA to review proposed development at 1400 Boylston Street in the West Fenway. This project proposes development of 2.4 acres over 553,000 gross square feet of development. 3. Tuesday, August 2, 6 p.m. – Sunset Concert at Symphony Park, 39 Edgerly Road

Join us for the final Sunset Concert at Symphony Park, sponsored by Berklee College of Music, FCA, and the Friends of Symphony Park. 

The final concert features the music of singer-songwriter Almira.These concerts are free and open to all – come and bring a friend!

4. Wednesday August 3, 3:30 p.m. – Fenway Cares

Need food? Know someone who does or want to volunteer for a good cause? Fenway Cares will be distributing fresh produce, grains, and more at Fenway Community Center and Symphony Community Park.Volunteers are needed at both locations – to sign up to volunteer, visit: https://fenwaycommunitycenter.org/volunteer/

5. Wednesday, August 3, 6 p.m. – Berklee Institutional Master Plan (IMP) virtual Task Force Meeting

A virtual public meeting is being held by the BPDA to review a 2-year Institutional Master Plan proposal by Berklee College of Music.

6. Thursday, August 4th 3-9 p.m. – First Thursdays at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Join the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for a restorative evening of community and discovery at its monthly First Thursday events.

Lastly, free Tai chi continues through August 17th at Symphony Park each Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and chair yoga takes place Thursday at 10 a.m. – both classes are fair weather only.
