FCA Member News – Upcoming meetings and neighborhood notes

Dear Members and Friends:

We hope you all have marked your calendars for Wednesday, February 5th for the Fenway Civic Association’s Annual meeting!
This event will include refreshments and social time and a special presentation by Samuels & Associates and Meredith Management on Air Rights parcels 7 and 12.
Come meet your friends, neighbors, and elected representatives, and learn about these important projects.
Meeting notice is attached – This event is free and open to the public – come and bring a friend!

1. Parcel 7 Air Rights Development: January 27 comment deadline
The BPDA is accepting comments on this air rights development project Notice of Project Change through January 27th.

2. Neighborhood Improvement Committee (NIC) Public Meeting: January 29, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Please join the NIC for a public meeting at Morville House, located at 100 Norway Street in the East Fenway.
This event will recap current work and discuss plans for 2020.

3. YMCA Guest Pass: Offer through January 31
The YMCA on Huntington Avenue invites FCA members to visit their facility on 316 Huntington Avenue with a free guest pass, attached.
This offer is for individuals aged 18 years and older – please bring a government issued ID and this pass to take advantage of this offer.

4. Boston Black Restaurant Challenge Kick-Off, February 1, 2020
State Representative Chynah Tyler invites residents to join the Boston Black Restaurant Challenge at Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, located at 604 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA 02118. A kickoff at 12:00 p.m. is followed by food, drinks, live music, giveaways, raffles, and special guests, with a program beginning at 2:30 p.m. featuring Boston leaders, restaurant owners, and supporters. 5. Free Chair Yoga at Morville House, 100 Norway Street, Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.
Come join neighbors for gentle chair yoga at Morville House, part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s Winter Fitness Series.
