2. Commonwealth Seminar 15th Anniversary Celebration, May 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m ., Suffolk University, 120 Tremont Street
Ever wonder how government really works? Want to know how bills get made? Visit behind the scenes of our State House? The Commonwealth Seminar is a program that firmly believes government should be open to all, hosting trainings multiple times per year on everything you need to know to get your issues heard. Join local politicians, citizens and friends on May 2nd to learn more about the Commonwealth Seminar’s work, hear from the founders, and celebrate its anniversary! 3. Fenway Civic Association Annual Bird Walk, May 4th, 7:30 a.m. (meet by the Peace Bell near the footbridge by Kelleher Rose Garden)
Join us for our annual excursion through the Back Bay Fens to witness the spring migration! Naturalist Stephen Baird will host this walk, open to all levels. We will bring checklists – bring binoculars and a friend!
4. Kaji Aso Studio Calligraphy Demonstration and Haiku Poetry Contest results, May 5, 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., 40 St. Stephen Street

5. Mayor’s Coffee Hour, May 14, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Symphony Park, 39 Edgerly Road
Join neighbors and friends to meet Mayor Walsh and City of Boston staff – Mayor Walsh looks forward to hearing how the City of Boston can improve upon local parks, public areas, and City services. There will be a suggestion box set up at each site. Free coffee and breakfast treats will be provided by Dunkin’, as well as fresh fruit from Star Market. Each family will receive a flowering plant grown in the City’s greenhouses as a gift from Mayor Walsh. Also, there will be a raffle with prizes from Dunkin’. There will be information on City programs from the Boston Public Library, Boston Public Schools, the Boston Police Department, and Boston Centers for Youth & Families. 6. FCA/Northeastern University Annual Flower Share, May 18, 9:30-10:30 a.m.,St. Ann’s Church/Fenway Center parking lot, 77 St. Stephen Street
