Singer and arranger, Marcella Camargo has been present in the musical scene since she was 14 years old. From singing in choir festivals, while she was still studying in the US, to being the lead vocal for several styles bands in Brazil, she always stood out for her performance.
She started her Music studies at Faculdade Souza Lima (BIN School), and today, awarded with the World Scholarship, she attends Berklee College of Music for degrees in Performance and Professional Music (with focus on Contemporary Writing & Production) and has been invited to perform in several recitals and special participations at BPC with Paul Simon, Ivan Lins, Jetro da Silva and Middle Eastern Festival.
Marcella Camargo’s Quartet has been created for the simple reason of getting friends together to perform good music while still having a good time and to bring a little of the Brazilian warmth to the rest of the world. Together for almost a year this quartet performs from standard jazz tunes to Blues, Samba and Bossa Nova using unique arrangements and has performed throughout Boston for private parties and events such as “Taste of the Back Bay” 2011 and 2012.
