Governor Patrick signs Duck House legislation!

August 11, 2010 by fenwaycivic

On August 3, 2010, Governor Deval Patrick signed legislation authorizing the city of Boston’s Parks and Recreation Commission to lease certain historic properties, including the Back Bay Fens Duck House, to private entities that will renovate each building and operate food concessions and other services out of the spaces.

The passage of “An Act Authorizing the Boston Parks and Recreation Commission to Lease Certain Real Property” is an exciting step forward in the plans to revitalize this Fenway neighborhood asset.  Check out our Duck House page for more information about this project.

The Governor’s press release can be found here.
