The Week Ahead

Dear Members and Friends:

Mid-summer in the Fenway. Great time for a vacation, or a ‘staycation’ in the Fens! We’ve got some great outdoor events starting today, Saturday, New Edgerly Plaza has an open air market for unique and curated fresh finds, see the flyer, come on out. East Fens, enjoy the Tuesday Sunset Concert series at Symphony Park, and save the date of August 25th for Jazz at Ramler Park: Kenji and Friends.

We’re happy we got a bit of rain last week to welcome our newly planted eastern redbuds and two tulip trees in the Back Bay Fens. We thank the ‘rain clouds’ for helping us, along with the Parks forestry staff, Skanska, and Councilor Durkan to grow our tree canopy and mitigate the heat island effects in this dense part of the city.
