Dear Members and Friends:
This Monday, catch up on the current state of developments at the Fenway Corners project at a virtual Citizens Advisory Committee meeting; or head over to New Edgerly Plaza to talk to the City’s street teams about best uses of this new plaza. Note that the Longwood Place development now has a website which you can subscribe to for updates on that major development to come. And if you’re wondering about the status of the water/sewer line replacement work, go to Project Lookup: Fenway/Kenmore | Boston Water and Sewer Commission and you’ll see a map of all the active projects, and by clicking on each project, you can see dates and progress of the work. We will be dealing with this all summer, so be aware of street closings, parking restrictions, and expect disruptions, noise, etc. as this continues.
With all this building and disruption, take some time to enjoy the parks and gardens, and make sure you’ve got June 11th noted for both the 10 am-11am Mayor’s Coffee Hour and the 6pm -8 pm FCA Annual Picnic! The Kelleher Rose Garden looks like it will not disappoint–with tens of thousands of buds ready to put on their spectacle!!
June is Pride Month in the USA – for local events check out Meet Boston – including the June 14th Pride parade.
The Juneteenth Federal holiday is Thursday, June 19, with Celebrations in Boston throughout the city and the week.
