The Week Ahead

March 30, 2025 by fenwaycivic

Dear Members and Friends:

Thanks for attending the 63rd Annual Fenway Civic Association Meeting!

Thanks to Mayor Michelle Wu and the elected officials who joined us, and to Interim Parks Commissioner Liza Meyer, for presenting on Shadow Impacts. Thanks to the Red Sox organization for hosting the community as the FCA reviewed and renewed our commitment to making this neighborhood thrive. And thank you, our members and friends, for the community spirit!

THE WEEK AHEAD

Sunday, March 30th, 1 p.m., Sunday Concert Series begins at Edgerly Plaza. Thanks to a Berklee Neighborhood Grant, this Sunday kicks off a new music series at the Plaza! From March 30th through early May, join us every Sunday at 1:00 PM at the plaza for live music, coffee, cookies and community! (flyer attached). Want to know more about the new Edgerly Plaza – visit the website and take a quick survey to suggest uses you would like to see.

Tuesday, April 1st is April Fool’s Day ~ rooted in a long and murky history, some say it’s connected to the arrival of spring, with playful and symbolic role reversals. Llocally we’ve seen some great pranks involving the “sacred cod” and the MIT dome… among others. So, if you happen to get some odd news on the 1st, it could be a joke!

Tuesday, April 1 – Street sweeping resumes! Don’t get fooled, know your dates.

Tuesday, April 1, 6:00 -8:00 p.m., Red Sox / Fenway Park biannual Neighborhood Meeting, at the Fenway Community Center (1282 Boylston St.). The Red Sox are grateful for their strong partnership with the FCC, and with Fenway Civic hosting their annual meeting at Fenway Park the week before, are glad to be able to host another opportunity for neighbors to come together in a familiar space right in the heart of Fenway. Catch up on all the latest news from Fenway Park!

Friday, April 4th, 2:10 pm, Fenway Park HOME OPENER Red Sox vs. Cardinals – Game begins at 2:10 p.m.. Here’s the 2025  Boston Red Sox –  Schedule. Go Sox!
