The Week Ahead

Dear Members and Friends:

We all know the Fenway is an incredible place to live, work and visit; and with all its charms and assets, the Fenway is a magnet for development. How can we have sustainable growth that respects, protects and enhances our natural assets, which form the basis of this urban oasis? The Back Bay Fens was born of a vision to serve the public as the city inevitably grows – a natural space providing equal access to air, light, healthy recreation and natural beauty to an increasingly stressed and dense urban environment. The Back Bay Fens is a living asset we must constantly care for.

Since its inception, the Back Bay Fens has needed and received city protection. The recent wave of development is challenging the current protections. How can we ensure the Fens not only survives, but thrives? This is why we invite you to join us in conversation this Monday night.

Monday, September 23, 6-8pm, FCA presents an in-person, public meeting on: Parks and Public Space Protection in the Fenway, at the Fenway Community Center.
