The Week Ahead

July 30, 2024 by fenwaycivic

Dear Members and Friends:

There’s music in the air – free, fun, fabulous & fleeting… get it while you can. This Tuesday it’s the series finale for the Sunset Concerts at Symphony Park with a great headliner – Kaju Barfi – a fusion of beatboxing-Indian classical-Bollywood and familiar covers – not to be missed. Wednesday at Ramler Park, welcome back the fabulous International Jazz Quartet featuring Tim Mayer.

Concerts in Fenway Park have been filling the nights with people, sounds and traffic – do you have any feedback you want to share? Email us at Fenwaycivic@aol.com and we’ll bring your comments to the mitigation meeting.

Cranes are rising all around us, with no slowdowns in sight! The massive tower of the 2 Charlesgate West project was approved by the BPD against significant neighborhood opposition and concerns; and that’s only one of 48 projects in the Fenway listed on the City of Boston’s Planning Dept. website. Invest in those noise canceling headphones now, you’ll be needing them for the foreseeable future. As the neighborhood grows vertically, I hope to see you in the shadows, without getting swept away by the winds…
