Fall is here, and you can really feel the change in energy! With the new season comes new schedules, new people, new meetings and events. Jump into some meet-and-greets, celebrate Latinx Heritage, be an influencer transforming our streets and parks, or get in the groove at the Opening Our Doors annual event. Also, mark your calendars for an upcoming public meeting on the 1400 Boylston Development, and make sure you’re registered for the next election, November 7th. Meet Councilor Durkan!
Councilor Durkan’s first seasonal office hours for the Fenway neighborhood, Oct. 4 at Cornwall’s – 644 Beacon Street
The Councilor aims to host office hours in each neighborhood seasonally, and is excited to welcome you to the fall round of office hours. Whether you have never met the Councilor or have an urgent matter you would like to discuss, the Councilor is eager to meet with you. Sign up for a 15 minute time slot here. Please sign up for the Fenway meeting location. If the time slots don’t fit your schedule, please request an alternative time-slot via virtual office hours.
Celebrate Latinx Heritage month!
The Latinx Heritage month celebration runs September 15 – October 15; The City will be providing a variety of programming and events in honor of Latinx cultures and communities that contribute to the vibrancy of Boston, listed at the city’s website: https://www.boston.gov/news/mayor-michelle-wu-kicks-latinx-heritage-month. Events on City Hall Plaza include poetry, short films, dance, music, and cultural panels, as well as special programs running at the BPL.

December 1st deadline to apply for the Fenway Neighborhood Improvement Grant Berklee established the Fenway Neighborhood Improvement Grant to support community-based projects and initiatives that contribute to the vibrancy and quality of life in the Fenway neighborhood. The application deadline is December 1st, and you can find more information, including eligibility requirements, here. If you are a neighborhood nonprofit, please consider applying!
