Something new!

The Latinx Heritage month celebration runs September 15 – October 15; The City will be providing a variety of programming and events in honor of Latinx cultures and communities that contribute to the vibrancy of Boston, listed at the city’s website: https://www.boston.gov/news/mayor-michelle-wu-kicks-latinx-heritage-month. Events on City Hall Plaza include poetry, short films, dance, music, and cultural panels, as well as special programs running at the BPL.

September 23 Household Hazardous Waste, Paper Shredding, Textiles, and Electronics Drop-Off

ONGOING & UPCOMING

Fenway Transportation Action Plan – Click here for info The Plan will identify and prepare redesign concepts for Kenmore Square, Brookline Avenue, and Van Ness Street / Ipswich Street. Staff will be available through September for in-person “Chat with a Planner” events. Next events in the Fenway, (please check their website, as dates may change):

1 Kenmore Square (September 20, 7:00 AM–9:00 AM)

2 Back Bay Fens near Jersey Street (September 21, 4:00 PM–6:00 PM)

Wednesday, September 27 3:00PM – 7:00PM Better Bike Lanes Office Hours – Repeats every other week on Wednesday until December 6, 2023

A bold plan for transforming Boston’s streets to better serve people walking, rolling, and riding bikes. Goal: to expand our bike network so that 50% of residents will be a three-minute walk from a safe and connected bike route. Read more about the plan.

Monday, October 9 – Fenway Alliance’s flagship festival Opening Our Doors – a celebration of the Fenway Cultural District – 

The festival line up is live on this website – https://www.fenwayculture.org/ood-2023-schedule – with more details to come mid-September. New this year is a main stage at The Station at 1400 Boylston performances from 12pm – 4pm. A fun day full of free events.
