The week ahead

Happy Spring! Here are a few announcements and save the dates for the week ahead.

1. Thursday, March 24th, 6:00 p.m. Longwood Place Impact Advisory Group (IMP) Meeting

The BPDA is hosting an IMP meeting for the Longwood Place (305 Brookline Avenue) proposal to discuss its filing for redevelopment. This 5.8 acre site is planned for 1.75 million gross s.f. of development including office/laboratory, commercial/retail/restaurant, residential space and parking. 2. Tufts Community Programs

Fenway Corners public meeting

Please see the following announcement for a public meeting on the Fenway Corners/WS  Fenway-Twins Realty Venture project this Wednesday:

When: Wednesday, March 9, 6:00 p.m. via zoom

What: Virtual public meeting to discuss the Draft Project Impact Report submission for the Fenway Corners Project. A project description as follows:

WS Development, on behalf of WS-Fenway-Twins Realty Venture LLC (the “Proponent”) is proposing a 5.32-acre redevelopment (the “Project”) of 13 privately-owned parcels of land on four primary development blocks located south of the Massachusetts Turnpike in the vicinity of the historic Fenway Park. The Project will consist of approximately 2 million square feet of Gross Floor Area of building area for office/research, residential, and retail uses, and will involve the reconstruction and improvement of approximately 3.7 acres of other public roadways, sidewalks, and other areas of public ownership as part of the Project’s overall commitment to making extraordinary public realm improvements in the Fenway neighborhood. The Project will also include 1,740 new parking spaces, along with the extension of Richard B. Ross Way from Van Ness Street to Brookline Avenue, achieving one of the City of Boston’s long-planned transportation goals for the neighborhood.

Tuesday, March 1st, 6:00 p.m. –  Fenway Corners virtual CAC meeting WS-Fenway-Twins Realty Venture LLC is proposing development of 13 parcels of land equaling 5.32 acres in the West Fenway adjacent to Fenway Park. A public meeting by the BPDA will be held to review the proposed project’s Draft Project Impact Report  (DPIR) with Community Advisory Committee members.Public comments on the DPIR can be made by submitting comments either online or by email to BPDA Project Manager Aisling Kerr at Aisling.Kerr@boston.gov To register for this meeting, visit:

2. Wednesday, March 2nd, 3:30 p.m. – Fenway Cares

Need food? Know someone who does or want to volunteer?

Fenway Cares will be distributing free produce, grains, and more at Symphony Park (39 Edgerly Road) and the Fenway Community Center (corner of Jersey and Boylston Street) from 3:30 p.m.

3. Wednesday, March 2nd, 4:00 p.m. – Virtual Licensing Hearing for Fenway Park 2022 concerts

The Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing (MOCAL) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss 2022 Fenway Park concert applications.
