Swingin’ in the Fens

The Patrice Williamson Group Brings Jazz to the Fenway Neighborhood at “Swingin’ in the Fens” on Wednesday, July 15. The annual free concert presented by Berklee College of Music, in partnership with the Fenway Civic Association and Boston Parks and Recreation Department, will take place at Ramler Park, 130 Peterborough Street.
Williamson will sing classic jazz standards including “Close Your Eyes,” “Lullaby of Birdland,” and “I Thought About You.” Joining her will be a quartet of celebrated Boston musicians: Gilson Schachnik, piano; Keala Kaumeheiwa, bass; Steve Langone, drums; and Jon Wheatley, guitar.
Picnics and folding chairs are encouraged, and the event is wheelchair accessible. In the event of inclement weather, Swingin’ in the Fens will be postponed to Wednesday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m.
